His Excellency George Washington’s Birthday
In light of the upcoming weather for this weekend when 1-4” of snow are expected on Saturday evening into early Sunday morning coupled with high winds and extremely low temperatures, we are again faced with the dilemma of having to cancel our scheduled event of the George Washington birthday celebration.
We have folks traveling from different parts of the State whom will be exposed to the hazards of the weather, we are also facing another problem and that is the availability of the parking. This is mainly due to the amounts of snow accumulated on the grass areas that we use for parking overflow, there is very limited parking at the Tappan Site, for visitors will not have access to park on the grass.
Accordingly, we have reached the decision of canceling the event indefinitely for this year.
We sincerely apologize for any inconveniences that this decision might bring about, however the safety and well being of ALL attendees as well as of those involved in organizing the event is our main priority.
All paid reservations will be reimbursed to those whom sent checks to R:.W:. Robert Blanke expeditiously.
Sincerely & Fraternally
R:.W:. Louis M. Irizarry, II
